NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (April 7) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team hit the road for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup with the Titans. The two conference foes found themselves tied after 90 minutes of regulation, but Westminster logged the golden goal in overtime to grab a 2-1 victory.
The home team (2-3, 2-3) opened the scoring with a goal in the 32
nd minute. Westminster maintained its 1-0 edge into the second half, but the Jackets were finally able to knot things up when freshman
Logan Gonzalez (Beaver Falls, Pa. / Blackhawk) found the back of the net on an unassisted tally in the 54
th minute.
The score stayed deadlocked at 1-1 at the end of regulation, but Westminster got to celebrate after the game concluded with a goal in the 94
th minute.

Zach Burke (Bowie, Md. / Bowie) made his second-straight start in net and once again played well enough to keep his team in contention for victory. Burke made nine saves while facing 11 shots on goal.
Waynesburg is back in action on Saturday, April 10, when it hosts Saint Vincent for another PAC showdown. Start time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
