WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 14) – The Waynesburg University women's golf team hosted Geneva at the Greene County Country Club for a dual match on Tuesday. The visiting Golden Tornadoes downed the host Yellow Jackets by the final score of 373 to 473.
Waynesburg was led by sophomore
Tess Smith (Moon Township, Pa. / Moon), who carded a team-low score of 99. Freshman Audrey Rose Abatti (Holtville, Calif. / Holtville) followed with a 109. Sophomores
Avery Robinson (Ravenna, Ohio / Ravenna) and
Marley Wolfe (Ellwood City, Pa. / Riverside) added scores of 121 and 144, respectively to bring about the team total. Junior
Anika Dansby (Massilon, Ohio / Washington) was also on the course and fired a 157.
Waynesburg is back in action on Friday, Sept. 17, when it competes in the Thiel College Invitational.
