NEW CASTLE, Pa. (Aug. 29) – The Waynesburg University women's golf team competed at the Westminster Invitational on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets placed fourth overall out of seven teams with a four-person score of 431 at the Avalon Field Club.
Sophomore
Allison Wolling (Bethel Park, Pa. / Bethel Park) led the way for Waynesburg by firing a 26-over par score of 97 and notching an 11th place finish in the 38-woman field. Junior
Abigail Noble (West Alexander, Pa. / McGuffey) placed 21st with a 39-over par score of 110. Sophomore
Lexi Schmadel (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg) claimed a tie for 22nd place with a 111, while sophomore
Emmarson Anderson (Beaver Falls, Pa. / Blackhawk) rounded out the scoring four with a 25
th-place tally of 113.
Sophomores
Leigha Clapper (Bellwood, Pa. / Bellwood-Antis) and
Autumn Bartos (Uniontown, Pa. / Geibel Catholic) competed as individuals with scores of 119 and 148, respectively.
The host Titans took home the team title with a four-woman score of 357. Westminster's K.R. Rankin and Grove City's Lauren Kardos shared individual medalist honors by both carding nine-over par scores of 80.

Waynesburg returns to play when it holds the Jacket Tri-Valley Classic on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Greene County Country Club. Tee time is scheduled for 10 a.m.
