WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Aug. 26) – The Waynesburg University women's golf team will be low on numbers but high on experience this year and with no seniors on a roster dominated by sophomores, the potential for growth this year is high. Fifth-year head coach Mike Cipoletti will look to guide this young, but seasoned group up the leaderboards.
 
Waynesburg returns five of the six players that competed in the 2025 PAC Fall Championships and the 2026 PAC Spring Championships. Second-year standout Allison Wolling (Bethel Park, Pa. / Bethel Park) leads the quintet after becoming the first Yellow Jacket to earn All-PAC status since 2019. Wolling placed 14^th in the field to earn honorable mention all-league status. Her postseason was highlighted by an 81 during her fourth round of the 72-hole championship.
 
She is joined by classmates Emmarson Anderson (Beaver Falls, Pa. / Blackhawk), Leigha Clapper (Bellwood, Pa. / Bellwood-Antis) and Lexi Schmadel (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg), as well as junior Abigail Noble (West Alexander, Pa. / McGuffey), as competitors with postseason experience.
 
The 2026-27 Jackets are completed by sophomore Autumn Bartos (Uniontown, Pa. / Geibel Catholic), who comes to the program after a year with the Waynesburg cross country team.
 
Waynesburg opens the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Westminster Invitational, which will be contested at Avalon Field Club in New Castle, Pa.
