MCKEESPORT, Pa. (Sept. 18) – The Waynesburg University women's golf team traveled to the Youghiogheny Country Club for a Saturday dual match with Carlow. The Yellow Jackets and Celtics went right down to the wire, before the host team pulled out a 444-445 win.
 
Waynesburg was led by sophomore Tess Smith (Moon Township, Pa. / Moon) who carded a team-low score of 100. Sophomore Avery Robinson (Ravenna, Ohio / Ravenna) followed closely with a 107, while freshman Audrey Rose Abatti (Holtville, Calif. / Holtville) fired a 110. The Jackets scoring four was completed by sophomore Marley Wolf (Ellwood City, Pa. / Riverside), who posted a 128.
 
Junior Anika Dansby (Massilon, Ohio / Washington) also competed for the Jackets.
 
Waynesburg is scheduled to be back in action on Thursday, Sept. 23, when they face Geneva in a dual match at Connoquenessing Country Club in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania.
