BETHANY, W.Va. (Oct. 12) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team traveled to Bethany for a Thursday night Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup. The Yellow Jackets had a night to forget against the defending conference champions, who took down the visitors 6-0.
Bethany (7-3-4, 3-0-3) scored three goals in each of the game's two halves on their way to the win. Freshman goalkeepers
Clayton James (Silver Spring, Md. / St. John's College H.S.) and
Andrew Price (Fountainville, Pa. / Plumstead Christian) split the net duties for Waynesburg (3-5-5, 1-2-3). James started and made six saves, while Price played the second half and tallied a pair of saves.
Waynesburg will look to bounce back on Saturday when it hosts senior day. The Jackets face Westminster for a 1 p.m. PAC showdown at John F. Wiley Stadium.
