WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 15) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team played host to Pitt Greensburg on Wednesday night. The Yellow Jackets came back from an early 1-0 deficit to earn a 1-1 draw with the Bobcats.
After UPG (1-2-2) scored its only tally in the early portion of the 10
th minute, Waynesburg (2-2-2) knotted the score at 1-1 in the 19
th minute. Freshman
Taylor McFarland (Wheeling, W.Va. / Wheeling Park) headed in a beautiful feed from junior
Tyler Mohrbacher (Freedom, Pa. / Freedom) for the final score of the game.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Michael Francus (Bethel Park, Pa. / Bethel Park) racked up seven saves to preserve the tie.
Waynesburg is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 17, when it hosts Baldwin Wallace in a battle of the Yellow Jackets. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
