LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Sept. 24) – The Waynesburg University women's cross country team ended a two-week layoff by traveling to Saturday's Lock Haven Invitational. The Yellow Jackets placed 26
th in a massive 34-team field.
Waynesburg was led by freshman
Reagan Pettis (West Springfield, Pa. / Northwestern), who posted her team's fastest time of the day. Pettis crossed the finish line in 24:11.20, which allowed her to finish in 126
th place out of 285 competitors.

Grace Tanksley (Bedford, Ind. / Bedford North Lawrence), who posted the number-129 time of 24:13.60. Junior
Gabi Reifsnyder (Carlisle, Pa. / Big Spring) was the next Jacket to complete the race, doing so with the number-134 time of 24:16.70. Another Orange and Black junior,
Joula Anderson (Greensburg, Pa. / Greensburg Salem), finished 205
th thanks to her mark of 25:40.20.
Senior
Maggie Stains (South Fork, Pa. / Forest Hills) completed Waynesburg's scoring five with the 209
th-place time of 25:43.70.
NCAA Division I member Cornell (N.Y.) took home Saturday's team title.
Waynesburg is off until Saturday, Oct. 8, when it competes in its annual Homecoming 5K. Race time is scheduled for 8:30 a.m.
