NEWVILLE, Pa. (November 15) - The Waynesburg University women's cross country team wrapped up the 2025 season by running at the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets placed 18^th in the 28-team field.
 
As they've done all season, the Jackets were paced by the senior-freshman duo of Grace Tanksley (Bedford, Ind. / Bedford North Lawrence) and Erin Belveal (Bay Village, Ohio / Bya). Tanksley placed a team-best 52^nd out of 208 runners with a time of 23:43.04. Belveal capped a fine first collegiate campaign by posting the number-72 time of 24:25.41.
 
Sophomore Taylor Severt (Howard, Ohio / East Knox) was the next Waynesburg runner to cross the finish line, doing so with the number-137 mark of 26:13.68. Alexis Hepburn placed 142^nd (26:29.83) and sophomore Amber Sallee (Bentleyville, Pa. / Bentworth) completed the Jacket's scoring five by completing the 6K course in 144^th place (26:41.11).
 
Johns Hopkins took home this year's team title.
