LAST TIME OUT
Waynesburg is looking to bounce back from its first shutout loss of the season, which came at the hands of Case Western Reserve. The Yellow Jackets wound up being the third team to be blanked by the Spartans, who not only lead the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) in scoring offense (7.4 points per game) and total defense (226.3), but currently rank sixth nationally in scoring defense and 11th nationally in total defense. Geneva, meanwhile comes to town riding a two-game winning streak. Its most recent win, a 45-20 drubbing of Bethany, featured the Golden Tornadoes' largest scoring output of the year. The Golden Tornadoes raced out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back from there. Josh Syster rushed for 225 yards and a touchdown, while Logan Kent posted 128 yards and two scores on just 10 carries. Geneva piled up 448 yards on the ground and 524 total yards of offense in the win.

LAST TIME THEY MET
Even though the game was played under bright, sunny conditions at John F. Wiley Stadium, there were plenty of fireworks during last year's meeting between Waynesburg and Geneva. The Yellow Jackets posted scoring plays of 66, 49, 63 and 75 yards during a 37-30 victory over the Golden Tornadoes. It was the first home win and first PAC win for current head coach Dr. Cornelius Coleman. The home team picked up the win despite only possessing the football for 21:37. Despite facing Geneva's triple option offense, the Jackets out-rushed the Golden Tornadoes 323 to 288 on the day. Conversely, the GT's outdid the Jackets in the air by 138-130 margin.

KEEP AN EYE ON
Geneva currently leads the PAC in rushing yards per game (218.3) and is also fourth in the league in rush defense (127.3 ypg). Waynesburg, on the other hand, is currently seventh in the league in rushing yards per game (121.3) and is allowing 155.7 ypg. It should be noted that Waynesburg has already faced the top three rush defenses in the PAC.

Despite playing on an offense that runs the ball more than any team in the PAC, senior wide receiver Hilton McClain is one of the most dangerous wide receivers in the league. His 20.6 yards per catch is tops among regular contributors in the PAC and is 23rd in all of Division III.

Geneva sophomore linebacker Luke Blasko has won the previous two PAC Newcomer of the Week awards. He is coming off a nine-tackle, one-sack, one-fumble recovery performance against Bethany.

Waynesburg senior linebacker Jaquaivis Valle-Smith (Orlando, Fla. / Winter Park) currently ranks second in the PAC in total tackles per game (9.3) and total tackles (65).

Waynesburg will honor its senior cheerleaders, band members and football players before Saturday's game.
