CLEVELAND (Jan. 20) – The Waynesburg University wrestling team traveled to Case Western Reserve University on Saturday to compete in the Dr. Si Ostrach Meet. Though the Yellow Jackets dropped all three of their dual matches, a trio of Waynesburg's best posted 3-0 individual records.

The Jackets closed out its stay in Ohio with a 32-18 defeat at the hands of Penn College. Forfeits at 125, 133 and 285 pounds played a major role in the final tallies, as the Orange and Black outscored both Case and Penn College in contested bouts.
Senior Colby Morris (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central), freshman Cole Homet (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) and freshman Jessie Orbin (Houston, Pa. / Chartiers-Houston) posted undefeated Saturdays at 174, 149 and 184 pounds, respectively.
Case built up a 17-0 lead after three weight classes, before the visitors claimed victory in five of the next six bouts. Homet got things started with a hard-fought 10-9 decision. Following a Spartan win at 157, freshman Jacob Wilson (Wills Point, Texas / Princeton) competed in his first match at 165 pounds this season. Originally a 184-pounder, Wilson pinned Mitchell Arch in his debut at 165 to kick off a four-bout winning streak for Waynesburg.
Morris followed with a 10-7 decision in overtime, before Orbin rolled to a 15-5 major decision. Junior Ayden Bishoff (Kingwood, W.Va. / Preston) capped the surge with an 8-6 win at 197. The Jackets trailed by just two points (21-19) heading into heavyweight.

After giving up 24-straight points on forfeits and a pin at 141, Homet ended the skid with 7-2 victory to stay undefeated during his short time at Waynesburg. Penn tallied back-to-back major decisions, before Morris ended his Saturday with a pin in 2:11. Orbin did the same, sticking his opponent in just 1:29.
