LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (November 16) – The Waynesburg University women's cross country team concluded its 2024 campaign with a 21st-place finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships at Lock Haven on Saturday morning.
The Jackets had three finishers in the top 150 in the over-200 woman field. Waynesburg finished with a team score of 627.
Grace Tanksley (Bedford, Ind. / Bedford North Lawrence) paced Waynesburg on the 6k course with a season-best time of 23:25.7 to finish 68th overall.
Chloe Fields (Linesville, Pa. / Conneaut) was 122nd and recorded a personal best time by a full minute at 25:01.1.
Jaylene Mundorff (Cross Creek, Pa. / Avella) was 144th in 25:54.6,
Erin DeLong (Canonsburg, Pa. / Canon-McMillan) was 156th in 26:17.2 and
Taylor Severt (Howard, Ohio / East Knox) crossed the finish line in 26:33.6 to place 162nd. DeLong's time was a PR by nearly 45 seconds.
Addison Blair (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) and
Madison Bidniuk (Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg Area) completed Waynesburg's top seven. Blair was 187th in 28:08.3 and Bidniuk finished 212th in 33:13.5.
