TRAFFORD, Pa. (January 28) – Waynesburg University sophomore
Jessie Orbin (Houston, Pa. / Chartiers-Houston) has been selected as the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Wrestler of the Week for the third time this season, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Orbin went 4-0 in dual meets to clinch an unblemished 18-0 record in dual meets for the 2024-25 season.
Orbin notched a pin over Thiel's Logan Groover in 1:49 and recorded a 9-1 major decision against W&J's Jaden Fields to run the table in PAC action at 184 pounds.
Waynesburg traveled to New York City to take on Hunter and Johns Hopkins on Saturday. Orbin secured a 7-2 against Samuel Gledhill of Johns Hopkins and a fall in 2:20 versus Hunter's Alfredo Tapia.
Orbin follows in the footsteps of
Colby Morris, who went unbeaten in dual matches in each of the last two seasons and former All-American and national champion Jake Evans who went 15-0 in duals in 2018-19.
Waynesburg heads to Baldwin Wallace's John Summa Invitational on Feb. 8.
