GETTYSBURG, Pa. (Oct. 18) – The Waynesburg University women's cross country team traveled to the massive Aubrey Shenk Invitational on Saturday for its final warmup before the upcoming Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships. Led by a standout performance by senior
Grace Tanksley (Bedford, Ind. / Bedford North Lawrence), the Jackets placed 13
th in the 33-team field.
Tanksley placed 24
th out of 308 runners with a time of 22:40.90 on the 6K course. She was followed across the finish line by freshman
Erin Belveal (Bay Village, Ohio / Bay), who turned in the number-45 time of 23:26.70.
Sophomore
Taylor Severt (Howard, Ohio / East Knox) posted the 137
th-place time of 25:31.90, while Alexis Hepburn placed 158
th with a mark of 25:59.80. Waynesburg's scoring five was completed by junior
Chloe Fields (Linesville, Pa. / Conneaut), who crossed the finish line in 26:01.20, which was good for 160
th place.
As previously mentioned, Waynesburg is back in action when it takes part in the annual PAC Championships, which are being hosted by Allegheny College on Saturday, Nov. 1.
