JACKETS FADE AGAINST GENEVA
A strong start for the Jackets was not enough as Waynesburg was downed by Geneva 62-20. The Orange and Black came out with two quick field goals, each of which were set up by fumbles, but the Golden Tornadoes found their stride with two field goals followed by their first touchdown of the day. Waynesburg tied the score, but Geneva caught fire, scoring the next five touchdowns to seal up the win. The home team was hamstrung by six turnovers that led to 35 points for the GT's.

BACK ON TRACK
After dropping both of their non-conference games, Washington and Jefferson has gone 4-0 in Presidents' Athletic Conference play. Their most recent win was a 56-10 victory against Saint Vincent. The first quarter saw the Presidents run in the first score of the game, which the Bearcats answered with a field goal. W&J took control by scoring three-straight touchdowns, before Saint Vincent punched in its only touchdown of the game in the second quarter. The Presidents iced the win by outscoring SVC 28-0 in the second half.

NEW BACK IN THE MIX
Sophomore running back Kaden Ebron made an impact in the Waynesburg backfield as he led all rushers with 152 yards and a touchdown off 10 carries against Geneva. A 75-yard touchdown sprint in the third quarter was the longest run of the game, as well as the season for the Yellow Jackets.

POLYNICE PUSHING THE DEFENSE
Junior defensive back Joanes Polynice has been the defensive leader for Waynesburg over the last several weeks. The first-year tranfer has had nine or more tackles in four games this season and is currently tied for first in the Conference with four forced fumbles. Polynice leads the Jackets in sacks (2.0), tackles for loss (5.5), forced fumbles (3)and defensive touchdowns (1).

SCOUTING THE PRESIDENTS
After going 0-2 in non-PAC play and taking its bye in week three, Washington & Jefferson has looked like one of the most complete teams in the conference. Over the past four weeks, W&J has outscored the opposition, including then-18th-ranked Grove City and perennial PAC power Westminster, by an average margin of 46-11. The defense has been particularly impressive, having limited the potent passing offenses at Hiram and Saint Vincent to 13 and 10 points, respectively. The President offense has been paced by the running back combo of Andrew Sharp and Kobe Derosa, who rank one-two in the PAC in rushing touchdowns with eight and seven, respectively.

DANGEROUS SKIES
Opposing quarterbacks may have some sleepless nights leading into a matchup with the W&J defense, which features sophomore Dante DeRubbo and his PAC-leading five interceptions. Just getting passes away has been a challenge, as the Presidents have piled up a conference-best 22 sacks in just six games. Junior Antoine Smith leads the charge with 5.0 quarterback takedowns, the second-highest total in the PAC.
