UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio (Nov. 23) – The Waynesburg University women's wrestling team had a busy Sunday at the John Carroll University Women's Wrestling Duals. Unfortunately, the Yellow Jackets went 0-for-4 on the mats today.
 
Waynesburg (1-5) fell 40-5 to D'Youville, 40-5 to Mount Union, 41-4 to John Carroll and 34-4 to Alfred State.
 
The Yellow Jackets were led by freshman Anastasia Curitti (Fernley, Nev. / Coral Academy of Science), who went 3-1 on the day with two technical falls and a pin at 117 pounds. She stuck Erta Bequiri of Mount Union in 2:37, shut out Al Kirsh of Alfred State 10-0 and dominated Emily Leeseberg of John Carroll 12-2.
 
Freshman Calista Binning (Amelia, Ohio / West Clermont) added a win by forfeit against D'Youville.
 
The Jackets are off until Saturday, Dec. 6, when they compete in the Gannon Women's Duals.
