ERIE, Pa. (Dec. 6) – The Waynesburg University women's wrestling team traveled to Saturday's Gannon Women's Duals. The Yellow Jackets faced a tough slate of contests, including a matchup against 18^th-ranked Lehigh in their trip up North. They also faced West Liberty, Gannon and Otterbein.
 
Waynesburg opened its day with 50-0 loss to West Liberty (6-3) and followed with a 49-0 setback against the host Golden Knights (6-3). Things didn't get any easier against a powerful Lehigh (13-0) squad, which downed the Orange and Black 47-0. The Jackets ended their day by falling 39-10 to Otterbein (1-3).
 
Waynesburg (1-9) got pins from freshman Anastasia Curitti (Fernley, Nev. / Coral Academy of Science) at 117 pounds and sophomore Ja'Khia Matthews (Phoenix, Ariz. / Albemarle) at 207 pounds.
 
The Jackets are back in action on Sunday, Dec. 14, when they compete in the Terrier Round Robin hosted by Hiram. Start time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
