STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (Sept. 27) – The Waynesburg University women's golf team traveled to Steubenville Country Club on Saturday to compete in the Franciscan Fall Invitational. The Yellow Jackets placed sixth in the seven-team field
 
Waynesburg was led by freshman Avery Davis (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) who placed 13^th out of 38 competitors with a 93. Freshman Allison Wolling (Bethel Park, Pa. / Bethel Park) tied for 16^th overall with a 96.
 
Yet another Yellow Jacket freshman, Emmarson Anderson (Beaver Falls, Pa. / Blackhawk), carded the number-32 score of 111. A fourth first-year player, Lexi Schmadel (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg) tied for 36^th with a 125.
 
Washington & Jefferson took home the team title.

The Yellow Jackets return to the course on Monday, Oct. 6, with a trip to the Grove City Fall Invitational at Grove City Country Club. Tee time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
