GROVE CITY, Pa. (Oct. 6) – The Waynesburg University women's golf team hit the road to compete in the Grove City Fall Invitational on Monday. The Yellow Jackets placed seventh in the 10-team field with a four-player score of 400.
Waynesburg was led by freshman
Allison Wolling (Bethel Park, Pa. / Bethel Park), who placed a team-best 30
th in the 66-woman field with a +22 score of 94.
Sophomore
Abigail Noble (West Alexander, Pa. / McGuffey) finished just behind Wolling in 31
st place with a 95, while freshman
Avery Davis (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) tied for 44
th with a 101.
Waynesburg's scoring four was completed by freshman
Lexi Schmadel (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg), who fired a 110. Freshmen
Emmarson Anderson (Beaver Falls, Pa. / Blackhawk) and
Leigha Clapper (Bellwood, Pa. / Bellwood-Antis) also competed for the Orange and Black.
Westminster took home the team title with a 323.
The Jackets are off until Monday, Oct. 13, when they tee off in the two-day Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Fall Championships, which are being held in Warren, Ohio.
