CANONSBURG, Pa. (April 13) – The Waynesburg University women's golf team traveled to Southpointe Golf Club to compete in the Peter C. Rossin Memorial Invitational, which was hosted by Washington & Jefferson College. The Yellow Jackets placed sixth in the eight-team field with a four-woman score of 481.
Waynesburg was led by freshman
Allison Wolling (Bethel Park, Pa. / Bethel Park), who tied for 14
th place out of 40 competitors with a 27-over par score of 100. Classmate
Avery Davis (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) followed in 26
th place with a 114.
The Jackets' scoring four was completed by freshman
Emmarson Anderson (Beaver Falls, Pa. / Blackhawk), who carded the 28
th-place score of 116, and freshman
Leigha Clapper (Bellwood, Pa. / Bellwood-Antis), who placed 38
th with a 151.
Seton Hill edged the host Presidents for first place in the team standings with a 372 to W&J's 373. W&J's MacKenzie Schmeltz earned individual medalist honors with a plus-11 84.
The Jackets wrap up the 2025-26 season at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Spring Championships, which will be contested at Mill Creek Golf Course in Boardman, Ohio. The two-day event gets going on Friday, April 24.
