TRAFFORD, Pa. (Sept. 30) – Freshman women's cross country runner Erin Belveal (Bedford, Ind. / Bedford North Lawrence) was one of Waynesburg's top performers at Saturday's Dickinson Long-Short Invitational. Her efforts caught the eye of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), which honored her as the latest PAC Newcomer of the Week.
 
Belveal placed 28th overall and second amongst Yellow Jacket harriers out of 139 runners on the 6K course with a time of 24:54.8. The first-year standout was in 40th place after one mile, but climbed to 32nd by the 5k marker and closed strong to place 28th and 10th among first-year runners in the race.
