TRAFFORD, Pa. (Nov. 2) – There were a slew of memorable plays that determined Saturday's 40-39 win at Hiram. Senior
Ethan Floyd (Philippi, W.Va. / Philip Barbour) logged one of the most important of those plays and was recognized for his efforts by being named Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Special Teams Player of the Week.
Floyd blocked a punt, scooped up the loose ball and ran it back 34 yards for a touchdown during Saturday's victory. That score cut the Hiram lead to 27-26 late in the third quarter and kept the Yellow Jackets within striking distance to make their fourth-quarter comeback. He also completed a fair catch at the 50 yard line that drew a kick catch interference flag and was followed by a personal foul penalty that gave Waynesburg the ball at the Terrier 12. One play later, the Jackets were in the end zone.
