WHAT DID WE JUST WATCH??

There were plenty of tricks and treats for Waynesburg as the Yellow Jackets defeated Hiram 40-39 on Halloween. After falling behind 13-0 and seeing starting quarterback Dominic Hickman (Huntingtown, Md. / Huntingtown) go down injured, senior signal caller Luke Hudson (Morgantown, W.Va. / University) entered the game and threw four touchdowns. The game wasn't decided until a two-point conversion from Hudson to sophomore Landon Cawley (Huntingtown, Md. / Huntingtown) with 1:21 showing on the clock. The junior overcame three interceptions and misfiring on his first seven pass attempts to lead his team to victory.

ADAM AND FLOYD RAKE IN THE ACCOLADES

Junior defensive lineman Isshak Adam (Carnegie, Pa. / Chartiers Valley) and senior defensive lineman Ethan Floyd (Philippi, W.Va. / Philip Barbour) were both honored for their outstanding work at Hiram by being named to the latest D3Football.com Team of the Week. Floyd made his week twice as nice by picking up PAC Special Teams Player of the Week accolades. Adam tallied nine tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks, while Floyd blocked a punt, scooped up the loose ball and ran it back 34 yards for a touchdown.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN TORNADOES

Geneva continues to be one of the most dangerous passing games in the PAC since switching to its current air raid offense prior to last season. Senior Caleb Romano enters this weekend leading the league with 274.5 passing yards per game. His favorite target has been freshman Jerry Davis, who sits fourth in the conference with 80.0 yards per game. His 41 catches have him tied for first in the league. Junior defensive back Noah Hutcherson paces the defense with 10.0 tackles for loss, while senior defensive lineman Coltin Hill boasts five sacks (four solo).

SOMETHING'S MISSING ...

While Geneva has still been able to move the ball through the air, it only ranks ninth in the PAC in scoring. Romano's 13 interceptions are by far the most in the conference. The GT defense has also allowed the fourth-most yards per game, including the second-most passing yards per contest.
