TRAFFORD, Pa. (Feb. 13) – The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released its annual Softball Coaches' Preseason Poll and Players to Watch List on Friday. Waynesburg was picked to finish fifth out of 12 teams this spring after picking up 70 points.
 
The two-time defending champions from Westminster were selected to three-peat after gathering up 117 points and nine of the 12 first-place votes. Geneva took the number-two spot with 108 points and two first-place votes. Grove City rounded out the top three with 102 points, while Allegheny got the fourth spot with 93 points and the final first-place nod.

The Jackets, who are under the guidance of second-year head coach Chris Brunson, are scheduled to open the 2026 season on Monday, Feb. 23, with a home doubleheader against Penn State Altoona. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
