TRAFFORD, Pa. (March 30) – Sophomore Meysa Heitmann (Morgantown, W.Va. / University) has been one of the hottest hitters in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) over the past two weeks. Her efforts over Waynesburg's last six games got the conference's attention and earned her the honor of being named PAC Hitter of the Week on Monday.

Heitmann went 13-for-24 (.542) with three doubles, a triple, three RBIs and five runs scored across the week for the Yellow Jackets. She went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in game one of the Allegheny doubleheader, followed by another RBI and a triple in game two. In the split doubleheader against Pitt-Greensburg on Thursday, the sophomore was a perfect 3-for-3 in game one, including a double and two stolen bases, then followed up with another double, an RBI and two runs scored in game two.

Heitmann capped off the week by collecting three hits and a walk across the doubleheader against Grove City on Saturday. She is currently on an 11-game hitting streak, which includes seven multi-hit performances.
