WAYNESBURG, Pa. (May 9) – A handful of athletes represented Waynesburg University at the West Virginia University Last Chance. A pair of wins and a new program record highlighted the Yellow Jackets' day at West Virginia University.

Rylie Baker (Weirton, W.Va. / Weir) put her name atop the Waynesburg women's record book for the hammer throw with her second-place toss of 35.40 meters. She added the winning heave of the shot put, which sailed 9.14 meters, and a second-place finish in the discus with a distance of 31.56 meters.

Natalie Double (Portersville, Pa. / Slippery Rock) followed up her Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) title in the javelin from last week by claiming victory in Morgantown with a distance of 40.97 meters. That toss was nearly two meters further than her conference-winning toss.
The lone member of the Waynesburg men's team in competition was freshman Ender Faust Cosgrove, who took fifth in the javelin with a mark of 36.54 meters.
The Yellow Jacket women are scheduled to be back in competition on Wednesday, May 13, when they participate in the Mount Union Last Chance. In Alliance, Ohio.
