Men's cross country runs at YSU Invitational

Yellow Jackets finish fifth in the team standings

CANFIELD, Ohio (Sept. 26) - The Waynesburg University men's cross country team placed fifth on Saturday at the Youngstown State Invitational, which was hosted at the YSU Gorby Family Course. The Jackets tallied 140 points.
 
Junior Ethan Wilson (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Redeemer Lutheran) led Waynesburg, finishing 36th overall out of 64 runners with a time of 29:37.83. Freshman Kyin Jeter (Braddock, Pa. / Carrick) followed in 46th place at 30:43.99, while senior Kyle Casella (Clarksboro, N.J. / Kingsway) finished 50th with a time of 31:30.01.
 
Freshman Jack Bell (Portage, Mich. / Edwardsburg) was the fourth Yellow Jacket across the finish line, placing 56th in 32:00.85. Sophomore Logan Eberhardt (Massillon, Ohio / Tuslaw) rounded out Waynesburg's scoring five with a time of 33:56.79, finishing 58th overall.
 
Freshman Matt Ribnicky finished just behind Eberhardt in 59th place at 33:56.99, while freshman Grady Pfeil (Johnstown, Pa. / Bishop McCort) placed 60th with a time of 34:17.82. Sophomore Jack Hood (Washington, Pa. / Trinity) also competed for the Yellow Jackets, recording a time of 35:45.39.

The Yellow Jackets will return to action next weekend for the Waynesburg University Homecoming 5k on Saturday, October 3.
