BETHANY, W.Va. (Sept. 12) – The Waynesburg University men's cross country team traveled West to Northern West Virginia to take part in Saturday's Bethany Invitational. The Yellow Jackets placed fifth in the nine-team field with 143 points.
 
The Jackets were led by freshman Kyin Jeter (Braddock, Pa. / Carrick), who posted a time of 31:03.4 to finish 16th overall out of 66 runners. Junior Ethan Wilson (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Redeemer Lutheran) added a top-20 performance, placing 20th in 31:30.2.
 
The remainder of Waynesburg's top five included sophomore Jack Hood (Washington, Pa. / Trinity), who posted the number-31 time of 33:21.6, freshman Jack Bell (Portage, Mich. / Edwardsburg), who notched the 38^th-place mark of 33:59.9 and senior Kyle Casella, who placed 40^th with a time of 34:08.8.
