NEW CONCORD, Ohio (Sept. 25) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team ran into a buzz saw against Muskingum as they dropped a 6-0 contest to the Fighting Muskies on Wednesday.
The Yellow Jackets (3-6-1) were out-shot 29-10 by the host team and managed just three shots on goal.
Muskingum (3-6) boasted a pair of two-goal scorers on the night as Ian Stipes scored in the sixth and ninth minutes of the first period to put the Muskies up 2-0.
Leading 4-0 in the second half, Muskingum got the final two goals of the contest from John Molnar in the 78th and 86th minutes to seal the deal.
Senior goalkeeper Brad Davis suffered the loss for Waynesburg as he gave up all six goals, while making seven saves.
The Yellow Jackets will try to get back on track on Tuesday, Sept. 30, when they host Point Park University for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
