Box Score WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 3) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team opened Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) competition on a Friday night at John F. Wiley Stadium when Grove City came to town. The Yellow Jackets came out on the short end of a 3-0 contest.
The Wolverines (2-8-1, 1-0) opened the scoring in the 14
th minute and were held to a 1 -0 lead until early in the second half, when they added insurance goals in the 57
th and 59
th minutes. Waynesburg (3-4-2, 0-1) junior goalkeeper
Ciara Scott made eight saves on the evening.
The Yellow Jackets will take another shot at their first PAC win on Wednesday, Oct. 8, when they host Chatham. Start time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
