Men's soccer takes part in battle of the Yellow Jackets

Waynesburg strkes first, but falls 2-1

BEREA, Ohio (Sept. 24) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team traveled to the Buckeye State to face off with Baldwin Wallace University on Wednesday. The visiting Yellow Jackets fell to the host Yellow Jackets 2-1.
 
Waynesburg (3-4-2) jumped out to a 1-0 lead during the 19th minute of play when junior Victor Browne took a feed from senior Cody Lemke and beat the Baldwin Wallace (2-7) goalkeeper. The visiting Yellow Jackets maintained their slim edge until late in the second half, when the home team scored twice over the final 17-plus minutes of action.
 
Senior Brandon Daughtry got the start in net and made 10 saves over 90 minutes of play.
 
Waynesburg will try to get back on the winning track, when the Jackets host Bluffton on Saturday. Start time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
