Richards places second PAC Championships

Freshman fires lowest score of spring tournament

GROVE CITY, Pa. (April 30) – Freshman Abbey Richards wrapped up a fine rookie season at Waynesburg University at this weekend's Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Spring Golf Championships.
 
Richards carded an 83 on Friday and an 84 on Saturday for a two-day total of 167, which was the lowest 36-hole score of the event. However, her 171 at the PAC Fall Championships dropped her to second place overall of the four-round event with a mark of 338.
 
The Waynesburg standout finished behind Washington & Jefferson's Jocelyn Sudar, who posted a winning total of 334. W&J's Marissa Sudar completed the individual top three with a 343.
 
W&J also claimed a second-straight team title and was followed by Thomas More and Saint Vincent, which placed second and third, respectively.
 
The Yellow Jackets were also represented by Megan Bayles, Nicole Zimmel, Cassie Hudson and Andrea Losko.
