Box Score LANCASTER, Pa. (Aug. 30) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team opened the 2019 season with a road trip to Lancaster Bible College. The Yellow Jackets dropped its debut 3-0 to the Chargers.
The home team (1-0) tallied the eventual game winner 5:57 into the contest and maintained its 1-0 edge into the first half. LBC tacked on insurance goals in the 49
th and 52
nd minutes to seal the victory.
Waynesburg (0-1) totaled six shots in the opener, three of which were put on goal. Junior
Adam Dolan (McDonald, Pa. / West Allegheny) started in net and made two saves before being relieved by freshman
Matthew Hilarzewski (Crafton, Pa. / Carlynton). Hilarzewski stopped the only shot he faced over 15:57 of action.
The Jackets get right back to work tomorrow with a trip to Penn State Harrisburg. Start time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
