WAYNESBURG, Pa. (November 19) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team had five student-athletes collect Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.

Graduate midfielder Madey Hill (Hagerstown, Md. / North Hagerstown) and junior midfielder Reagan Mittendorf (Bluffton, Ohio / Bluffton) repeated as CSC Academic All-District selections. Forward Julz Mohrbacher (Freedom, Pa. / Freedom) and defenders Waverly Lorne (New Providence, N.J. / Governor Livingston) and Jocelyn Stiffler (Dillsburg, Pa. / Northern) each collected the academic applause for the first time as sophomores.

Hill was a five-year member of the Yellow Jacket women's soccer team and is pursuing a master of arts in criminal investigation at Waynesburg. She graduated last spring with a 3.98 undergraduate grade-point average (GPA). She appeared in 75 games for Waynesburg and was a three-year starter. In 2024, she scored in Waynesburg's 2-1 victory at La Roche.

Mittendorf was named the PAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Scholar-Athlete of the Month for October earlier today. She is a forensic science major and biology chemistry minor with a 3.98 GPA. A three-year starter, she recorded four goals and five assists in the 2024 season. Last fall, she was named as an All-PAC Honorable Mention.

Mohrbacher is a digital design major with a 3.65 GPA. She was named All-PAC First Team and to the PAC All-Tournament Team after leading Waynesburg with nine goals and 20 points in 2024. She ranked ninth in the conference in goals and seventh in shots and shots on goal per game.

Lorne also collected All-PAC First Team status in 2024. A political science major with a 3.97 GPA, Lorne had five goals and four assists playing as an outside back and in the Jacket midfield. She led Waynesburg with four game-winning goals.

Stiffler started 14 games as a center back for the Jackets this fall. A secondary education major, she maintains a 3.81 GPA. Stiffler teamed with Lorne and the entire Waynesburg back line to record five shutouts, an additional three games without allowing a run of play goal and post the No. 3 goals against average (1.104) in the PAC.

The CSC Academic All-District program recognizes student-athletes that excel on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible for academic all-district status, a student-athlete must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or start in at least two-thirds of the team's games. An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA.

Waynesburg went 8-5-4 in the 2024 season to finish with a winning record in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2011. The Jackets earned the sixth seed in the PAC Tournament.
