ALTOONA, Pa. (April 12) – The Waynesburg University men's golf team competed at the Penn State Altoona Invitational at the Sinking Valley Country Club on Friday.

The Jackets finished 16th of the 17 teams at the event. Waynesburg posted a four-man team score of 367 strokes on the par-72 course.

Matthew Karpeal (Smithfield, Pa. / Albert Gallatin) led the way for the Jackets at 81 strokes, good for 35th place in the 90-man field.

Tyler Townsend (Normal, Ill. / Bloomington) carded an 87 to tie for 65th. Gabge Fuller (Elrama, Pa. / Ringgold) was 85th, Justin Clevenger finished 86th and Tyler Rollison (Scottdale, Pa. / Southmoreland) placed 88th.

The Jackets host Bethany in a dual match at the Greene County Country Club tomorrow.
