Karpeal and Tarolli earn All-PAC honors at Spring Championships

BOARDMAN, Ohio (April 25) – The Waynesburg University men's golf team closed out the 2025-26 season at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Spring Championships, which were hosted by Mill Creek Golf Course this weekend. The Yellow Jackets placed seventh out of 10 teams with a four-man, 72-hole score of 1,285.
 
Waynesburg boasted a pair of All-PAC performers in senior Matt Karpeal (Smithfield, Pa. / Albert Gallatin) and sophomore Alan Tarolli (Washington, Pa. / Fort Cherry), both of whom earned honorable mention status. Karpeal became a three-time all-conference honoree after carding a team-best four-round score of 309 (+25), which placed him 14th overall. He rebounded from an 81 on Friday, to fire a 76 on Saturday.
 
Tarolli finished just behind his older teammate with the 15th-place total of 312 (+28). The second-year standout bested Karpeal on day four with a team-best 18-hole score of 74.

Karpeal and Tarolli become the first Waynesburg teammates to earn All-PAC laurels since 2008.
 
Sophomore Braden Benke (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) finished third on the Jackets and 25th overall with a 325 (+41). Junior Nate Barnhart (Washington, Pa. / Trinity) and freshman Dayton Reynolds (Carmichaels, Pa. / Carmichaels) were Waynesburg's final two representatives at the PAC Spring Championships. They carded scores of 180 and 201, respectively.
 
Senior Hudson Pincavitch (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) and sophomore Brady Donovan (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Brentwood) represented the Yellow Jackets in the PAC Fall Championships.
 
Allegheny won the team title with a 67-over final tally of 1,203. Individual medalist honors went to Grove City's Gronbeck, who held off Allegheny's Christopher Hoffman 292 to 293.
