NEW CONCORD, Ohio (January 25) – The Waynesburg University men's and women's indoor track & field teams notched multiple program records regionally-ranked results at the Yellow Jackets' 2025 opener at Muskingum on Saturday.
The Jackets finished 10th of 15 men's teams and 11th of 16 women's teams at the event.
Quintin Weaver (Rimersburg, Pa. / Union) broke his own team record and became the first Jacket to run a sub-nine minute 3k as he crossed the finish line in 8:58.74. Weaver also notched a sixth-place showing in the 800 in 2:02.57. Both of Weaver's marks rank first in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) this season and top-30 in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Jacob Harker (Lilly, Pa / Bishop Carroll) set a Waynesburg indoor shot put record with a personal record heave of 14.60 meters to finish third overall. Harker breaks Jeremy Faidley's previous record of 14.46 meters that has stood since 2010. His mark ranks No. 1 in the PAC and No. 2 in the region. Harker also led the Jackets in the weight throw with a distance of 12.38 meters, good for 13th at Muskingum and seventh in the PAC.
Ella Rishell (Montgomery County, MD / Watkins Mill) placed fourth in the 200 with the second-fastest indoor 200 time in program history at 27.42 seconds. Her time ranks third in the PAC and 17th in the region. Rishell also took third in the triple jump at 9.69 meters.
Maggie Clair (Canonsburg, Pa. / Canon McMillan) finished 13th in the shot put at 10.93 meters to rank fifth in the PAC and 14th in the region.
JaLisa Fuller (Latrice, Ind. / Lawrence Central) notched the PAC's No. 11 result in the 800 with a time of 2:39.25 to place ninth.
Ella Boothe (Fredericktown, Pa. / Bethlehem Center) was 15th in the 200 in 28.84.
Noah Jones (Rockville, Md. / Sandy Spring Friends) recorded the PAC's No. 10 long jump (5.98 meters) and No. 12 400 (55.28) while
Adam Helbling (McDonald, Pa. / South Fayette) posted the conference's No. 9 triple jump at 11.70 meters.
Michael Wines (Hamlin, W.Va. / Nitro) made his Waynesburg track debut and ran the league's No. 15 time in the 200 (24.06).
Both Waynesburg distance medley relays finished second at Muskingum and rank top-10 in the region.
The Jackets head to Youngstown State next weekend.
