YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (Dec. 5) – The Waynesburg University women's track & field team kicked off the indoor portion of its schedule by traveling to the Youngstown State University Icebreaker presented by Southwoods Health. There was no team scoring at the meet that featured a multitude of NCAA Division I and Division II schools in the field.

The Yellow Jackets were led by junior Ella Rishell (Montgomery County, Md. / Watkins Mill), who posted the third-fastest time in program history in the 200-meter dash. Rishell placed 36th overall out of 87 runners who completed the sprint with a time of 26.99 seconds. That time was best amongst all Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) competitors and fourth amongst all NCAA Division III athletes.

Rishell also posted a mark of 4.0 meters (13-1.5) in the long jump and logged a hop, skip and a jump of 8.90 meters (29-2.5) in the triple jump.

Waynesburg was paced in the field events by freshman Daniella Holley (Barnegat, N.J. / Barnegat), who posted the highest finish of any Waynesburg competitor with a fourth-place showing in the high jump. She cleared 1.49 meters (4-10.5), which was the top height of any Division III competitor in the event.

Sophomore Maggie Clair (Canonsburg, Pa. / Canon McMillan) paced the Orange and Black in the throws. Clair launched the 12th-place toss of 11.28 meters (37-0.3) in the shot put. She placed second amongst PAC competitors and second in Division III athletes.

The Jackets will be away from competition until the new year, when they travel to Muskingum for the Muskie Meet #2 on Saturday, Jan. 24. Start time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
