Waynesburg, Pa. (October 25) - The Waynesburg Esports team finished the midpoint of their season with a record of 13-5 on the week and an overall season record of 33-13 for its varsity programs.
The Valorant team split their week with a record of 1-1. They captured a convincing 2-0 win over New England on Monday (10/20) and improved their NECC record to perfect 5-0 and are at the top of their division heading into the final two weeks. On Tuesday (10/21) they lost their match 0-2 to a very strong Saint Joseph's team. Their ECAC record fell to 3-1 as they suffered their first loss of the season. Their overall record stands at 8-1 and the team is making a strong push for the playoffs in both NECC and ECAC.
The Smash Bros. team played three matches this week and had a perfect 3-0 record. They played two ECAC matches this week, winning both, and increasing their league record to a perfect 4-0. Their first match was a 2-0 win over Buena Vista on Monday (10/20) and their second match against Penn State Behrend which was also a 2-0 victory. Cash Wieczorek. The team's final match of the week was an NECC match on Wednesday (10/22) against rival Seton Hill. The team easily won game one and was put on the ropes when the Griffins came from behind to win game two. Game three came down to the final three stocks of each team and captain
Alex Solomon was able to secure the victory for the Yellow Jackets.
The Marvel Rivals team also played a perfect week winning both of their matches and improving their season record to 7-1. Their first match was a 3-0 NECC win over Mercyhurst on Tuesday (10/21). The Jackets dominated the entire match and freshman
Caitlin Nguyen led both teams in damage, kills, assist, and healing in the second game while also picking up MVP honors. Freshmen

Noah Reed provided a smothering offense in game three to close the match and send the team to a 4-1 NECC record and in second place in their division and in prime position for a playoff spot. Their second match of the week was a forfeit win over Southern Connecticut State to improve their ECAC record to 3-0 and has them sitting in first place in their division with four weeks left in the season.
The varsity Rocket League team also had a perfect week picking up two much needed victories. The bested Mary Washington in an NECC match on Wednesday (10/22) 4-2 and increased their record to 3-2 in NECC play putting them in third place in their division. Their second match was a 4-1 victory over Virginia Wesleyan in an ECAC match to improve their league record to 3-1 putting them in second place in their division. The win over Virginia Wesleyan was special to head coach Chris Davis, who was formally the head coach of VWU. The varsity Rocket League team's current season record is 6-3 as they head in the playoff stretch.
The JV and Academy Rocket League teams combined for a record of 1-2 with the JV team picking up a forfeit win over WCU Potomac State and the Academy team losing both matches to Mitchell and Lousiana Tech.
Overwatch split their week with a record of 1-1. Their first match featured them running into an extremely tough team from Trine who beat the Jackets 3-0 in a very short match. The Jackets were on their heels the entire game, however, Junior
Emalee Wallace lead both teams in healing with over 20,000. The loss puts their ECAC record at 2-2 and sitting in fourth place in their division, but in playoff contention. The team's second match was against Temple in an NECC game. In a complete turnaround, the Jackets easily won the match 3-0 and was never behind at all during the match. Freshman
Gavin Schneider put up 104 eliminations, with 50 of the eliminations coming in Map 2. Senior
Felicia Duffy made her return to the team playing Wuyang for Maps 2 and 3. The win increases their record to 3-2 and has them sitting in third place and needing only one win to secure a playoff spot.
The sports teams combined for a record of 3-1. Freshman
Nate Mayket recorded this first EA FC win of the season beating his opponent from UHSP 2-1. Junior
Darrius Mason lost his Madden match by forfeit to Southern Mississippi and Juinor
Jarvis Thomas picked up this first Madden win of the season beating his opponent from Keiser 2-0. Thomas also increased his NBA2K record to 4-0 with his 2-0 victory over Warner.
