BEALLSVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 6) – The Waynesburg University men's golf team hosted six other squads for Monday's Waynesburg Fall Invitational at Nemacolin CC. The hosts finished seventh in the team standings with a four-man score of 324, but got an impressive showing from senior
Matt Karpeal (Smithfield, Pa. / Albert Gallatin).
Karpeal tied for fourth place out of 40 golfers with a two-over score of 74. He was followed in the standings by sophomores
Alan Tarolli (Washington, Pa. / Fort Cherry) and
Braden Benke (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central), who both tied for 19
th with identical scores of 80 (+8).
The Jackets' scoring four was completed by senior
Hudson Pincavitch (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central), who tied for 37
th with an 18-over 90. Sophomore
Brady Donovan (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Brentwood) also fired a 90.
Freshman
Mike Moore (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) also competed for the Jackets and carded a 91.
Baldwin Wallace took home the team title after recording a 296.
The Yellow Jackets return to competition on Monday, Oct. 13, for day one of the two-day Presidents' Athletic Conference Fall Championships in Warren Ohio.
