WAYNESBURG, Pa. (May 6) – A pair of throwers secured all-conference honors for the Waynesburg University men's outdoor track & field team at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships at West Virginia University's Mylan Park last week.
All-PAC honors are awarded to athletes and relays who finish in the top three at their respective events at the conference championship meet. The Yellow Jackets had one conference champion and one third-place relay at PACs.
Sophomore
Jacob Harker (Lilly, Pa / Bishop Carroll) capped a breakout sophomore campaign as the PAC champion and All-PAC First Team honoree in the shot put with another record-setting throw. His top distance of 15.04 meters reset his own program record as he swept indoor and outdoor conference titles in the shot put in 2025. He also set the hammer throw, weight throw and indoor shot put records over the course of the year. Harker narrowly missed out on a second All-PAC nod as he was fourth in the discus.
Junior
John Stewart (Lancaster, Pa. / JP McCaskey) repeated as an All-PAC Honorable Mention in the discus with a third-place showing at PACs. He turned in a mark of 41.94 meters in his first attempt of the day to collect bronze for the second straight season. Stewart also advanced to the finals in the shot put and scored an eighth-place finish a personal record distance of 13.21 meters.
The Jackets had numerous close calls for additional All-PAC honorees as
Kyle Casella (Clarksboro, N.J. / Kingsway) in the 400-meter hurdles,
Adam Helbling (McDonald, Pa. / South Fayette) in the long jump and Waynesburg's 4x400 relay each finished fourth at the PAC Outdoor Championships.
Senior
Zach Berrott (Plum, Pa. / Plum) was Waynesburg's representative on the PAC Sportsmanship Team.
