LATROBE, Pa. (September 15) – The Waynesburg University women's golf team competed at the Saint Vincent Fall Invitational on Monday at Latrobe Country Club.
The Jackets finished seventh in the team standings with a score of 435, three strokes behind Thiel. Westminster claimed the team title at 359, while Geneva's Madison Sharek earned medalist honors with a round of 82. Six Presidents' Athletic Conference schools were represented in the field.
Freshman
Allison Wolling (Bethel Park, Pa. / Bethel Park) led Waynesburg with a 97 that tied her for 14th place in the 42-player field. Her round included a birdie on the par-five sixth hole, along with a pair of pars.
Freshman
Avery Davis (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) followed with a 108 to place 26th. Sophomore
Abigail Noble (West Alexander, Pa. / McGuffey) and freshman
Emmarson Anderson (Beaver Falls, Pa. / Blackhawk) both tied for 33rd after carding rounds of 115.
Freshman
Leigha Clapper (Bellwood, Pa. / Bellwood-Antis) rounded out the lineup with a 148 to place 42nd.
Waynesburg returns to action on Saturday with a dual match at Carlow at Youghiogheny Country Club.
