TRAFFORD, Pa. (September 8) – Waynesburg University freshman midfielder Jessi Jury (Greensburg, Pa. / Hempfield) was selected as the Presidents' Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week on Monday.
 
Jury won the honor after her standout performances this week against La Roche and Keystone. Over the two games, Jury scored her first collegiate goal while also recording five assists for the Yellow Jackets. Jury's five assists currently lead both the Jackets and the PAC.
 
Jury's most notable performance was in the 15-0 win against Keystone, scoring one goal and providing four of her five assists on the week. The four assists matched the single-team record in one game for the women's soccer team.
 
Waynesburg women's soccer is off a 4-0 start for the first time since 2018. The Jackets have outscored opponents 29-1 in 2025.
 
Jury and the Jackets return to action on Wednesday at Pitt-Greensburg with kickoff set for 4 P.M.
