TRAFFORD, Pa. (Jan. 27) – Freshman
Miracle Hershey (Lebanon County, Pa. / New Covenant Christian) enjoyed a successful debut for the Waynesburg University track & field team at Saturday's Muskie Meet #2. Those efforts on the track also earned her recognition as the latest Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Indoor Track and Field Newcomer of the Week.
Hershey was part of Waynesburg's school record-setting 4x200 relay team that won the event with a time of 1:51.21 and took first in the 60 meters by breaking the tape in 8.18 seconds. Her time in the 60 ranks fifth in the PAC so far this winter. Hershey also tied for seventh out of 26 runners in the 200 (29.29) at Muskingum.
While this is Hershey's first PAC track and field award, she was honored as PAC Women's Soccer Newcomer of the Week on Sept. 22.
