NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (April 11) – The Waynesburg University women's track and field team competed at the Westminster Invitational on Saturday. There was no team scoring at the event, but the Yellow Jackets produced a trio of top-five performances.
Senior
Grace Tanksley (Bedford, Ind. / Bedford North Lawrence) took second overall in the 10,000 meters with a time of 39:20.87. Following Tanksley was freshman
Erin Belveal (Bay Village, Ohio / Bay), who claimed fourth after clocking a 40:49.89.
The 4x400-meter relay team of senior
Ella Boothe (Fredericktown, Pa. / Beth-Center), junior
Ella Rishell (Montgomery County, Md. / Watkins Mill),
Adaire Settles (Canonsburg, Pa. / Canon-McMillan), and freshman
Chanelle Sutton (Mount Storm, W.Va. / Union Educational Complex) broke the line at 4:14.40 to finish fourth overall in a race that contained 13 teams from Division II and Division III institutions.
