Yellow Jackets drop 17-2 contest to Presidents

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Apr. 13) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team suffered a 17-2 loss at the hands of Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday night.

The loss dropped Waynesburg to 2-5 on the season, while W&J improved to 5-6.

The Yellow Jackets fell behind 11-0 at halftime and got both of their goals from sophomore midfielder Maria Shepas in the final 24 minutes of the game.

Senior goalkeeper Amanda Jo Morgan made 16 saves in goal.

The Jackets return to action on Wednesday, Apr. 15, when they host Saint Vincent College.
