WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. (April 28) – The Waynesburg University men's golf team closed out its spring season on Wednesday in the final day of the 2011 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships. The Yellow Jackets finished in eight place with a four-round score of 1363 at the Oak Tree Country Club.

The 2010-11 PAC Men's Golf Championship was determined by a 72-hole total: 36 at the 2010 PAC Fall Invitational and 36 at the 2011 PAC Championship. The individual All-PAC teams are determined exclusively by scores at the spring 36-hole PAC Championship.

The Yellow Jackets finished the event in eight-place with a score of 1363, twelve strokes behind Bethany College for seventh place. Washington & Jefferson College took the team title with a score of 1233, and Thomas More's Brandon Dulle took the medalist honors at 148.

Sophomore #Colin Wilson# led Waynesburg with a score of 152 to earn first-team all-conference honors. He is the first Jacket men's golfer to earn first-team All-PAC honors since at least 2000. His final day score of three over par for 74 was the second-best round score turned in at the par-71, 6,563-yards Oak Tree Country Club.

Senior Brent Heckel finished second on the Jackets, shooting a two-day score of 166 and a tie for 29th place.

Senior Ryan Hartz shot an 87 to finish the two-day event with a score of 169 and a 34th place finish, while fellow senior Kevin Mcllwain finished two strokes behind Hartz.

Senior Mike Quinn rounded out the Yellow Jacket golfers at the PAC Championships. Quinn shot a round of 104 on Wednesday to finish with a final score of 191. Quinn's score was not calculated into the final PAC total.
