Women's lacrosse travels to Denison

Yellow Jackets drop first road game of the season 21-2 to Big Red

GRANVILLE, Ohio (Feb. 25) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team ran into a talented Denison squad on Saturday and dropped a 21-2 decision to the Big Red.
 
The Yellow Jackets (1-2) got goals from sophomore Toria Shepherd and senior Maria Shepas and before falling behind 13-2 at halftime. Waynesburg was out-shot 39-to-three on the day and senior Jacket goalkeeper Erin Burry made 11 saves on the day. Denison improved to 1-0.
 
Waynesburg will play its second of three-straight road games on March 14, when the jackets travel to Washington, Pa. to take on Washington & Jefferson. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
