WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. (March 30) – The Waynesburg University outdoor track & field teams sent a select group of student-athletes to the Tim Weaver Invitational at West Liberty on Saturday.

Ty Williams (Canonsburg, Pa. / Canon-McMillan) notched a season-best time of 15.93 in qualifying for the 110 meter hurdles. He finished fifth in the 110 hurdles final (16.20) and placed 11th in the 100 in 11.54 seconds.

Jesse Cook (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Plum) crossed third in the 3000 meter steeplechase in 12:34.30.

Jacob Harker (Lilly, Pa / Bishop Carroll) finished fifth in the discus (37.71 meters) and shot put (13.21 meters).

Natalie Double (Portersville, Pa. / Slippery Rock) notched a season best mark in the javelin at 35.15 meters to finish fifth. Megan Barry (North Huntington, Pa. / Norwin) followed in sixth (32.73 meters).

Waynesburg returns to action at the Dave Labor Invitational, hosted by Slippery Rock, next Saturday.
