NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (April 13) – The Waynesburg University outdoor track & field teams set one program record and took home one individual title at the Westminster Invitational on Saturday.
Garrett Hillard (Greenville, Pa. / Greenville) posted a school record and the No. 2 mark in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) in the hammer throw this season with a toss of 38.73 meters.
Quinton Weaver (Rimersburg, Pa. / Union) took home the meet title in the 1500 in 4:09.60.
Ty Williams (Canonsburg, Pa. / Canon-McMillan) ran to a seventh-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.53.
Kyle Casella (Clarksboro, N.J. / Kingsway) was eighth in the 400-meter hurdles in 59.12.
Reagan Pettis (West Springfield, Pa. / Northwestern) crossed seventh in the 3000-meter steeplechase in 12:50.40.
Adam Helbling (McDonald, Pa. / South Fayette) 11th in the triple jump at 11.97 meters.
Natalie Double (Portersville, Pa. / Slippery Rock) paced the Jackets in the javelin with a mark of 34.00 meters to finish fifth.
Jacob Harker (Lilly, Pa / Bishop Carroll) made the final in the shot put and placed ninth with a heave of 14.01 meters in his opening attempt.
John Stewart (Lancaster, Pa. / JP McCaskey) placed ninth in the discus at 40.00 meters.
Waynesburg's men's 4x400-meter relay unit of Casella,
Noah Jones (Rockville, Md. / Sandy Spring Friends),
Aaron Sanders (Peters Township, Pa. / Peters Township) and Weaver finished seventh in 3:35.92.
